COMPENSATION:
Compensation for roles at SJBH vary depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, SJBH provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.
SJBH Pay range $96,000 to $120,000 annually - Depending on Experience
FULL TIME/40 HOURS MONDAY-FRIDAY DAYS (Local/Remote)
San Jose Behavioral Health is an 133-bed inpatient mental health facility where adults and adolescents can receive comprehensive inpatient treatment for a range of behavioral and mental health disorders. Conveniently located in the heart of San Jose the hospital is easily accessible to residents in Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and Alameda County. STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the facility.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
- Prepare and examine financial reports to ensure the records are accurate and timely.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Prepare month end journal entries and GL account reconciliations within established time frame.
- Prepare required financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
- Ensure the financial records are accurate and filed timely.
- Assist, monitor, and coordinate accounting and financial projects as assigned by CFO.
- Assist CFO for schedules, reports, audits and projects per Corporate and other agency's request.
- Serve as a backup for the Payroll/AP Saff Accountant when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Public accounting firm's experience are referred.
- Strong accounting background, analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP are required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize task.
- Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of attention to detail and multi -tasking

- Strong time management and organization skills.
