Hiring Restaurant Floor Manager
Altstadt is hiring an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to help provide a great customer experience across our restaurant, bars and Biergarten. We are looking for a service-minded, proven leader to assist in leadership and the development of a top notch service team.
Essential Functions
- Assists with all staffing responsibilities, including hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating
- Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale among employees
- Delivering excellent customer service including personally greeting and seating guests
- Resolving complaints from customers in a polite, friendly manner
- Onboarding and orientation of all new employees to the restaurant
- Reviewing clock punches for accuracy on a daily basis
- Daily Sales Sheet review to manage losses, waste and event expenses
- Assist with maintenance of Focus POS system
- Assist with maintenance of records to ensure TABC and Food Handler certifications are current for all employees
- Manage uniform distribution and accounting tracking
- Helping with duties of other employees (e.g., cashier, server, cook, etc.) when necessary because of an unexpected absence or extra volume
- Assist General Manager with other responsibilities required to run restaurant operations
Job Requirements
- Technical Capacity- Must be able to use all job-related systems and tools (e.g. Focus POS, Restaurant 365, MS Office Suite of applications, etc.) in order to run operations as needed
- Customer Focus- Must exude enthusiasm for helping others and exceeding guest expectations; must be friendly, approachable and professional in all interactions;
- Quality/Detail Orientation- Must uphold consistently high cleanliness standards to ensure a clean and organized restaurant;
- Flexibility- Must be able to effectively multi-task and perform a variety of tasks as-needed for multiple restaurant stations at once; Must be able to maintain professional demeanor in high stress situations;
- Ethical Conduct- Must uphold and enforce the company’s ethical standards and comply with local, state and federal law;
- Safety- Must be familiar with and adhere to industry and function-specific federal, state and local safety requirements;
- Collaboration- Must work well with other departments/functions;
- Communication- Must communicate effectively to employees, vendors and customers; Must be able to read labels on chemicals and cleaning supplies; Must speak, write and read English at the necessary level to safely and competently perform all job duties.
- Commitment - Must be able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week and on your feet most of the time during hours of operation.
Compensation
- Base salary range of $60,000-65,000 PLUS Monthly Bonuses

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree in Restaurant Management, Business Management or a related field OR Prior Management Experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior restaurant management experience (casual or fine dining, not fast food)

- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
