We are looking for a Full Time RESPIRATORY THERAPISTwith valid state(s) respiratory care license to join our team. This position covers the following states: MD, DE, DC, N VA and W VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient assessment.
- Complete patient files and paperwork as per current policy and procedures and any appropriate paperwork, as assigned.
- Set up equipment; CPAP, Bi-Level, air compressor, ventilators and oxygen equipment.
- Administration of therapies.
- Provide education to patience and families.
- Serve as liaison between patient and other members of the Health Care team, when required.
- Present in-service to facility staff.
- Perform testing and preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment.
- Instruct patients, caregivers, physicians and physicians staff on the proper use of respiratory equipment and necessary cleaning requirements.
- Complete progress reports and necessary billing information and submits in a timely manner.
- Assist other staff and perform other duties, as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- RRT, RCP, CRTT or eligible and meeting the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) requirements.
- Valid state(s) Respiratory Care license.
- Able to lift heavy objects from a squatting to standing position.
- Must possess good people skills, be able to follow‑up.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
- Min. 2 year of experience.
- Travel in state as well as out of state.
- On-call duties are required.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background check.
