We prioritize your comfort and work-life balance, offering new, well-equipped trucks and the opportunity to be home every other weekend for a full 48-hour reset. While you can run routes across all 48 states, you won't be required to drive in NYC and the five boroughs. This is a no-touch freight position, ensuring you spend more time driving and less time handling cargo. We also provide paid orientation and accommodations to make your transition smooth and hassle-free.
In terms of compensation, you can expect to earn an average of $1,200 to $1,500 per week, depending on your workload and dedication. This position is based out of Chicago, IL, and operates on a schedule of 12 days out and two days home every other weekend. Our extensive routes span the entire country, with the assurance that you won't be forced to navigate NYC and its boroughs. With 100% no-touch freight and most loads being drop-and-hook, you can focus on driving and maintaining your schedule. If your DOT medical card has expired, don't worry-we'll assist you in getting it renewed.
The average length of haul is between 700 and 750 miles, and we offer detention pay for any delays. We only require that you have three months of tractor-trailer experience within the last three years to qualify for this position. Our fleet features new 2021 or newer Freightliners or Kenworth trucks, all automatic and equipped with APU's, 1500-watt inverters, refrigerators, TV mounts, and microwave mounts. You can take your truck home for your off days and be dispatched from there, or if you need parking, we have terminals available for your convenience.
Orientation is comprehensive and supportive. We cover your travel, meals, and accommodations in a single-person hotel room, ensuring a comfortable start to your new role. Our benefits package is extensive and includes major medical coverage starting after 30 days, dental and vision insurance, vacation time, a rider policy for individuals 10 years or older, and a pet policy with no restrictions. Additionally, you can join our 401k plan after six months of employment.
As the nation's 5th largest asset-based truckload carrier, we pride ourselves on understanding the needs of our drivers. Our company leader is a former truck driver who knows firsthand the challenges of being on the road and is committed to a "we care" mindset. We strive to make your experience with us as positive and supportive as possible.
Processing your application is straightforward. After a thorough phone interview where we answer all your questions and provide full details about the position, we will proceed with your application, typically completing the process within three business days.
