College Medical Center is looking for a Guest Relations Supervisor to assist the director in supervision of the guest relations staff. The Guest Relations Supervisor is an exempt role due to the facility being a 24/7 operation.
Job Duties:
- Effectively reviews the accuracy and processing of admissions in the computerized system (Cerner) and identifies problematic areas. Sets goals and objectives and determines the action needed to accomplish the goals, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency throughout the department.
- Effectively ensures that the Admitting Financial Representative has scheduled meeting with patient and or patient guarantors to discuss insurance benefits, collect deductibles and co-pays. And / or completes a Financial Payment Agreement.
- Effectively orients and provides in-service training of all persons within the department.
- Continually motivates Admitting staff to achieve increased productivity and morale.
- Continually observes interactions by the admitting Staff with others, and if customer service standards are not met the supervisor provide counseling and education for improvement.
- Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons for open positions within the department; interviews and screens possible candidates for the Director.
- Effectively maintains and audits unit floor census ensuring a minimal margin of errors. Ensures that the computerized census accurately reflects the nit floor census and all data elements are completed in the computerized system.
- Effectively maintains a high level of efficiency and professionals while working with various supervisors/ directors, including but not limited to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Director of Health Information Management (HIM), etc., consistently assessing and analyzing areas of needed improvement and providing such support to ensure implementation.
- Effectively trains and monitors performance of Admitting Representative and Guest Relations Specialist.
- Ensures the Patient data in the AR system (Cerner) are balanced on a monthly basis.
- Effectively reviews and approves department purchases and equipment ensuring annual budget goals are met.
- Effectively utilizes the internet, seminars, manuals, etc., to maintain current knowledge of changes in laws and procedures affecting admitting forms and procedures; also provides staff with documentation and training, if needed, to ensure compliance.
- Effectively demonstrates knowledge of all patient laws, rules, regulations and procedures pertaining to psychiatric admissions.
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
