Accountabilities:
As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities will include ethical conduct and compliance, adhering to GLP and GDP, providing support services for analysts and chemists in the quality control laboratory, and maintaining the 5S nature of the laboratory facilities. You will handle ordering laboratory chemicals and supplies, inventory management, preparing and shipping testing samples to contract labs, and cleaning, organizing, and maintaining lab glassware. You will also perform sampling of purified water, compressed air, and environmental monitoring for testing.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 0-2 years laboratory experience
- Ability to perform activities to support QC sampling activities including climbing ladders and working in areas with limited access and on catwalks around production equipment
- Flexibility to support QC sampling activities/testing (routine, validation studies, PW sanitization, etc.)
- Proficiency in using AstraZeneca analytical applications required for the completion of assigned tasks
- Ability to work at a lab bench or hood and perform the necessary procedures required for sample preparations and cleanup using the current prescribed or validated methodologies

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor or Associates Degree, preferably in the chemical or biological sciences with previous experience in a GMP laboratory
- Ability to retrieve, dispense, and dispose of chemicals and reagents according to approved procedures
- Adequate training in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP and GMP) standards and ability to complete all forms legibly and accurately and/or notebooks
