In this role, you’ll lead of a team of dedicated inspectors, overseeing their work as they ensure the highest standards of quality inspection.
From prioritizing and scheduling to spearheading the development of cutting-edge techniques, your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous customer satisfaction.
With your eye for detail and unwavering commitment to compliance, you'll review parts, interpret data, and collaborate closely with our manufacturing team to tackle daily production challenges head-on. Your mastery of AS9100 and proficiency with GD&T will guide the team as you navigate complex blueprints and ensure every product meets our exacting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise/Oversee 4+ Inspectors
- Prioritize and schedule work in the inspection area
- Develop, improve, update, and document inspection techniques and processes
- Review parts for customer requirements and ensure specifications are met
- Review customer drawings/operations sheets and determine the appropriate tooling needed to perform inspection.
- Review and interpret data, test reports, and certifications for compliance with customer requirements.
- Perform layout inspection
- Document and enter inspection findings into the system.
- Partner with manufacturing to resolve daily production issues.
- Understand and operate within the QMS (AS9100).
- Ensure compliance for product release occurs only when all customer requirements including documents, certification, and product are conforming and compliant.
- Stay up to date on technology and industry developments, using that knowledge to bring improvements to the work of the department.
Qualifications Required:
- High School/GED
- 5+ years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing aerospace or automotive organization
- Proficiency with GD&T
- Expert knowledge of AS9100
- Ability to read and evaluate blueprints
- Experience supervising, coaching, and developing direct reports
- Proficiency with first-article inspection
Schedule:
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm
