This individual will also help support the day-to-day development operations, as well as internal and external coordination across programs and donors. The Program Officer for Business Development works closely with the senior leadership and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Institutionalize development processes related to foundational, corporate, individual, and public sector giving for the organization;
Engage, alongside the COO, on all aspects of the development process, from prospecting to cultivation and stewardship;
Streamline CEPA’s donor database including donor history, funding leads, donor engagements, grant deliverables, and grant reporting across programs;
Coordinate and support the proposal processes across CEPA programs, specifically ensuring compliance with proposal requirements, timely submission of complete proposal applications and post-project donor reporting;
Work with program directors in liaising with business development stakeholders;
Support teams in grant writing and concept development;
Lead internal weekly development meetings on development priorities, including current, upcoming, and prospective proposal applications and donor engagements;
Support the launch of CEPA’s Corporate Membership and Business Leadership Council efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree;
Prior relevant work experience;
Previous experience in grant writing and reporting;
Experience in financial management and reporting;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Familiarity with expense and administrative management software is a benefit;
Ability to handle sensitive information, meet deadlines and maintain grace under pressure;
Willingness to respond to an evolving set of priorities.
