Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct oral examinations and develop treatment plans for patients
- Administer anesthetics to patients to minimize pain during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative dental care
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the state
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Proficiency in dental imaging techniques and software (Epic, Eaglesoft)
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rights
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate treatment options
