Summary: Responsible for loading programs and tooling and setting up and operating all brake press equipment with a high level of technical knowledge and proficiency by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput of jobs.*
2. Loads programs, tooling, and takes any other steps necessary to set up assigned jobs.*
3. Ensures that parts are quickly formed, counted, and stacked in the best possible fashion for the following operation.*
4. Ensures that parts are quickly delivered to the following operation.*
5. Ensures that parts are correct according to the print and/or traveler.*
6. Monitors machine operation and quality of parts and makes machine adjustments as necessary.*
7. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
8. Responsible for the proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
9. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to your department lead or supervisor.*
10. Creates new first run and/or prototype programs quickly and effectively with an absolute minimum of scrap and/or set up parts.*
11. Participates in developing new, efficient, and effective welding processes for new as well as existing product lines.
12. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
13. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases, and cost reduction strategies.
14. Responsible for absolute compliance with safety and PPE requirements.
15. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
16. Strives to assume the company’s commitments as your own and fulfills them with a sense of pride and urgency.
17. Performs other duties as requested by your supervisor.
