Caregiver Job Description
Duties:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with medication.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
- Support residents' rights and maintain their privacy and dignity.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in their daily routines.
- Lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is desired.
- First aid certification is a bonus.
Skills:
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
