Responsibilities:
- Experience with pediatric speech therapy is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Proficient in case management, including scheduling, progress tracking, and discharge planning
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Oversee the daily operations of the Speech and Language Pathology department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
- Develop and implement innovative programs and treatment plans to address the unique needs of our diverse patient population.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to speech and language pathologists, home visitors, and teachers fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with other multi-disciplinary teams to collaborate on best practice and systems of care to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for children from birth through school age.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field, incorporating evidence-based practices into our programs.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in speech and language pathology.
- Proven leadership abilities, with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech and language pathology.
