We are seeking a talented SCADA and Load Management Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and support our operations with advanced technical expertise.
Position Overview:
The SCADA Systems Engineer is a high-level technical role responsible for the development, configuration, operation, and maintenance of our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) network, Historian, and related Load Management systems. This position plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining interconnections, managing historical data records, and fulfilling other operational needs essential for the Cooperative's system efficiency. The role provides comprehensive support services for the dispatch area and collaborates closely with IT and other departments on matters of security and system administration.
- Education: Associate’s degree in a computer science curriculum with two years of relevant work experience, or four years of comparable experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with databases, programming, and computer software, including Windows operating system and Microsoft Office programs.
- Network Systems: Familiarity with computer network systems, including network security, programming, administrative applications, and hardware such as processors, terminals, servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and wiring.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills with experience in Human/Machine Interface (HMI) technologies.
- Work Hours: Ability to work rotating shifts and irregular hours as needed.
