Position Overview
IT Specialist works closely with GVL’s operational team guided by the Managing Director, ensuring consistent, reliable support for associates and guests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting various problems with phones, wired infrastructure, wireless infrastructure, and hospitality software. This position also requires availability on weekends and a focus on guest services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer “help desk” inquiries in whatever communication cadence/avenue established

Keep basic installation pack (distributed) software up to date with the current versions

Responsible for utilizing ticketing system for IT issues and communicating with our vendors and their problem-solving systems

Write Beginner/advanced tutorials and instruction papers for current/future associates

Responsible for self-education on new technology to improve Grand View Lodge software/hardware devices.

Support associates and guests by ensuring the computers, phones, and printers are all functioning correctly.

Potentially support IT needs in other areas of the company (ie. Camps)

Ability and interest in providing outstanding service is required.

Learn and assist in the trouble-shooting of issues with the resort-wide operating software systems utilized by the various departments.

Work with the software vendor to address department manager issues

Assist in the maintenance of network infrastructure
-
Setup new workstations and test for reliability
-
Troubleshoot wired and wireless internet, to keep down time to a minimum

Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure phones and extension

Work with Finance to ensure continued compliance with PCI requirements

Ensure Mitel 3300 phone switch system is up and running, repair as needed

Job Requirements:

This is an on-site position located at Grand View Lodge
-
Must be available for specific hours assigned (initially from 11am – 7pm, Wednesday – Sunday)

Desire to learn and grow additional skills

This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 4 to 5 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.

This position also requires advanced computer knowledge and advanced knowledge of networking.
-
The position may also require the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
Education & Experience:
-
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
-
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with troubleshooting network equipment and performance issues

Minimum of 2 years working with Active Directory Domain Services including user configurations, security groups, file share permissions, and group policy objects

Minimum of 2 years working with Office 365 environments
-
Experience administrating or troubleshooting phone systems

Understanding of user and group permissions within a Domain environment
-
Basic Hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills
-
Experience with hospitality software
-
Working knowledge of databases
