Responsibilities:
- Provide full service end-to-end support until the policy is processed, in-force and closed; assist agents/producers in their day-to-day activities; make sure they have forms, information and sales proposals needed to complete sales and work with various companies to ensure the issue process is moving along and communicating between the two.
- Process new life business applications from submission to commission until the policy is processed, in-force and closed; review life applications and corresponding paperwork for accuracy and completeness, document outstanding requirements, enter the application in the HQ/CRM and follow up with carriers until the business is issued.
- Proactive, daily follow-up calls with carriers on pending life insurance applications to ensure the application is being processed timely, accurately, noting HQ/CRM with current status information and promptly communicate status details with the agent/producer.
- Be the primary point of contact for status updates as well as resolving any issues with a pending application.
- Order paramed exams and medical records as requested by the insurance carriers.
- As a designated resource for the insurance agents/producers, administration, back-office support, marketing and case design and ensure they have correct and up-to-date application paperwork required to submit Life business.
- Manage agent/producer and carrier caseload with a sense of urgency, dedication to accuracy and responsiveness, while identifying high priority situations and acting accordingly.
- Work with various carriers to insure that the issue process is proceeding adequately and communicating between the two.
- Maintain data files and documents, answer phone and email inquiries, composes reports, presentations and materials.
- Build/Maintain strong and effective relationships with our agents/producers, underwriters and carriers.
- Answer any commission questions/concerns for the agent/producer.
- Our agents/producers are nation-wide, so all communication, correspondence and client relationships are phone based and in the office.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This is a full-time, in-office position.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have case management experience supporting/maintaining a caseload.
- IMO experience definitely preferred
- Must have professional phone etiquette, highly motivated/driven & outgoing.
- Ability to work with a close-knit team and with little supervision.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact with internal and external individuals at all levels including Management.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word and Excel, administration, data entry, keyboarding skills.
- Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a “follow-up until resolved” mindset.
- Must escalate appropriate issues in a timely fashion.
- Must be detailed oriented with accuracy.
- Punctuality & attendance is critical to this position as your department / team members and customers depend on you.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
