Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Supervisor.
Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. This position is located in our San Diego, CA location and reports to the Director of Program Management and Logistics.
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees material planning, property management, procurement, and warehouse teams. They ensure efficient supply activities from customer order intake to parts delivery at Rock West North. Their team focuses on optimizing supply chain operations, inventory levels, and sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver cost-effective supply chain solutions that meet customer service needs.
- Manage inventory levels, lead times, and costs for locally stocked materials.
- Oversee customer and company property (tooling), handling requests, transactions, and audits.
- Continuously improve supply chain methodologies and processes.
- Align supply chain KPIs with business strategy.
- Support the procurement team by ensuring adherence to standard processes and procedures.
- Negotiate best-price contracts to enhance revenue and control material flow from suppliers.
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Coordinate warehouse and transport activities to meet customer delivery dates.
- Manage inbound and outbound scheduling, pickups, and related requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement, material planning, engineering, and quality assurance to qualify new suppliers.
- Analyze inventories to increase turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service. Conduct inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Train and instruct supply chain team members.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a business-related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in supply chain, material planning, procurement, warehouse management, or logistics within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Strong Excel experience: Complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Charts, VBA and Macros.
- Strong ERP experience (SAP and Netsuite preferred).
- Understanding of accounting, finance, and Order to Cash process.
- Proven experience in team supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and leadership skills.
- Proven aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience and interest in continuous improvement (asset).
- ISM (APICS) certifications or membership (asset).

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position falls within $100,000 and $125,000. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
