Carmel Hills Care Center is a private, family owned 99 bed skilled nursing facility on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. We are currently looking to add an enthusiastic, compassionate Physical Therapist to our team.

Our resident mix will challenge your skill set and expand your existing clinical knowledge and experience. To prepare you for this, we offer an extensive orientation and training program that ensures you are ready to exercise your abilities confidently the moment you are on the floor and responsible for resident care. Our residents include those requiring short term rehabilitative stays, wound care, tracheostomy care, respiratory complications, stroke recovery and long term care.Y our duties will include:
Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine an appropriate course of physical therapy treatment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents based on their specific needs and following physician orders
- Provide therapy sessions to residents to improve their functional abilities, meet established goals and prepare for discharge back to the community
- Monitor and document progress of clients throughout the treatment process
- Collaborate with the therapy team, doctors and facility nurses to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Provide guidance and support to resident's family to help them understand the treatment process and facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions
- Stay current with advancements in the field of physical therapy and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment plans
Experience:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Knowledge of various assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in speech-language pathology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with our residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive care to our residents.
- Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning therapy services.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
