Responsibilities:
-Cleaning and ensuring the sanitation of all dishes.
- Assist in the preparation of food items for meal service
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and ovens
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food quality
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service
Skills:
- Previous experience in a dietary department, catering, or the food industry is preferred
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment, including knives and other culinary tools
- Knowledge of basic food handling techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
