Business Development Manager

SalesMuscle™ is retained in the search for a Business Development Manager for an established engineering services company.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify leads and opportunities in life science, med device, robotics and automation
- Follow up on leads in a timely and appropriate manner
- Attend networking meetings and encourage team participation at these events
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend partnership opportunities
- Work with technical team and leadership to identify potential client sales approaches
- Assess and analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses
- Maintain business development metrics
- Set sales plans and targets and track monthly sales goals
- Conduct a methodical ongoing nurture campaign
- Assist project management with challenging client conversations and provide helpful guidance
Skill Set
- 8-12 years of engineering sales experience (selling product design in robotics, life sciences, medical devices or automation)
- Technical market exposure required
- Understanding of ID/UX role in development projects
- Experienced CRM practitioner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of online and offline media tools
- Advanced internet research capabilities and resourcefulness
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Suite
- Comfortable in a small company atmosphere
- Spark, high energy drive and vision
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; technical degree strongly preferred
Compensation
- Mid-level position
- Base 80-100k + commission
- On target earnings $200k
Location
- Hybrid role with 3 days onsite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
