Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care to patients in need. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency and non-emergent calls and provide medical assistance to patients at the scene
- Assess patients' conditions and perform initial patient assessments
- Administer basic life support measures, including CPR, if necessary
- Monitor vital signs and provide appropriate medical interventions with the EMT Scope of Practice
- Manage airways and ensure proper breathing for patients
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing ongoing care en route
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and relay pertinent patient information
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care provided
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Strong patient assessment skills to quickly evaluate medical conditions
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
- Ability to manage airways and perform basic airway management techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare professionals
- Experience in providing direct patient care, including physical examinations and administering medications
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist in moving patients safely
- Solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology
