About the Role:
The Production Lead will schedule production operations, assist in set ups for production and assist with supervision of staff. Maintain 5S in all areas. This role will be responsible for coordinating maintenance needs to the maintenance department. Track non-inventory supplies to ensure adequate supply. Work with associates to resolve production issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure associates follow assembly procedures and met quality standards.
- Make sure equipment is within calibration date and functioning properly.
- Follow escalation procedures for quality issues.
- Ensure associates are aware of day-to-day production goals.
- Ensure work orders are completed timely.
- Assist with incident and non-conformity investigations.
- Monitor change overs and/or line set ups.
- Prepare line sets for the incoming shift.
- Assist with root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Other duties as needed.
Critical Competencies:
- Ability to read/write English and comprehend detailed instructions.
- Basic math skills
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will be energetic, insightful, collaborative, self-motivated, and positive with interest in production/manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience
- 1 to3 years of prior team lead experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to sit and stand for long periods. Must be able to lift and move items or boxes up to thirty pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be extended to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
