Essential Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and initiate check-in process.
- Register and assign rooms, issue room keys, and provide instructions.
- Transmit and receive messages using phone, fax, and switchboard.
- Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local amenities.
- Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make change.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations; post charges.
- Handle guests' valuables and enforce hotel credit policies.
- Communicate effectively with front office and other hotel departments.
- Report for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform.
If Functioning in a Lead Capacity:
- Take responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Assign work and ensure proper team performance.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in relevant brand-specific PMS.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Hospitality customer service experience is a plus.
Hours:
- Varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods.
- Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount constantly.
Work Conditions:
- Inside work environment, not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
