Successful candidates:
- Completed an accredited radiography or MRI education program.
- Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI
- CT Certified a plus
- CPR/BLS Certification.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, think and plan ahead, show initiative, possess excellent communication skills and work effectively on a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and operates MRI equipment per physician instructions. Will provide coverage for Fonar-Upright MRI and GE HDxt1.5T mobile MRI.
- Screens patients/family members for MR safety prior to procedure.
- Administers IVs and contrast media as directed and per protocol.
- Understands and uses the PACS system.
- Maintains related information in patient EMR charts with proper coding.
- Adheres to all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
- Works with our in-house health care team consisting of Neurosurgeons, Physiatrists, and APPs to deliver excellent patient care.
- Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request.

Experience: Minimum 2 years as a MRI Technologist.
Hours: PRN Opportunity with availability for mostly weekend days 7:30 am- 4:30p . May also be asked to cover evening and/or weekday shifts if needed .
