JOB PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Wraparound Therapist provides individual and family therapy to clients in the Wraparound program. The Wraparound Therapist is part of a team that works intensively with the child and family members to address critical behavioral problems and tries to stabilize the home environment so that the family can remain together.
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
- Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling from an accredited university
- Must hold and maintain an active registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences that is in good standing at all times.
- Must adhere to all BBS, Board of Psychology, and the state of California’s Legal and Ethical duties and responsibilities of a therapist.
- Must be able to demonstrate a valid CA driver’s license, registration and insurance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide individual therapy services to clients enrolled in the program, as well as incorporating best practices modalities including family conjoint therapy, group therapy as needed, and ensuring that collateral support is integrated throughout treatment.
- Utilize Clinical Best Practices and Models (EBP, emerging practice, etc.) that is approved by Director and is aligned with DMH, and complete all associated measures, outcomes, and pre/post tests required for said practices.
- Decrease any barriers of families accessing MH services, to include providing services in the home, field, school, and/or office.
- Available 24/7 for crisis situations either over phone or in the field, submitting all required documentation related to crisis which includes SIR’s, reporting Suspected Child Abuse
- Apply the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) principles, which includes community partnership, teamwork, cultural competence, respect, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
- Consistently attends and collaborates with other Wraparound Team members by attending Child and Family Team Meetings, individual/group supervisions, Wraparound Team Bi-Monthly meetings.
- Demonstrated adherence to Drew CDC and Department of Mental Health documentation standards set forth in DMH Documentation training and DMH Contract standards (includes completion of Assessments, annuals, Client Treatment Plans, and discharges)
- Demonstrated adherence to Drew CDC and DMH contractually required note and form submission standards (includes all progress notes submitted in EHR within 48 hours, Assessments and CTPs within 30 days of admit date, annuals within one year, and disenrollment within 30 days of last billable contact)
- Maintain a caseload of minimum 10 cases at all times and accept cases from all referral sources (i.e. DCFS, Probation, etc).
- Meet required productivity standards set forth in the Fiscal Year Production Days Schedule (indicates all expected monthly and annual productivity expectations).
- Functions within the rules and procedures as outlined in applicable contracts, program/ department procedures & manuals and the Drew Employee handbook.
CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
- Expected to maintain internal and external relationships with contract stakeholders and community partners, as defined by program and contract expectations.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / CREDENTIALS:
- Required: Fluency to read, speak, and write in Spanish is required for a bilingual position to support the community Drew CDC serves. This position requires attaining a passing score in the Spanish Language proficiency test by testing vendor utilized by Drew CDC or be able to provide appropriate documentation of a passing score from another testing vendor that is accepted by Drew CDC.

- Preferred: Experience providing mental health and therapeutic interventions
- Preferred: Wraparound: Experience working in intensive services
- Preferred: Experience in utilizing electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Preferred: Experience trained or applying Evidence Based Practices (EBP’s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily Field-based services: traveling to Office, Community, Schools, and Client homes to deliver services.
