Ft. Irwin CA Cellular Network Administrator
Job Summary
FITT Scientific is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the working administration of a large, closed-loop cellular telecommunications network, and the end devices connected to it. This work will be in support of US military training in and around the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California.
Duties / Responsibilities
The candidate will provide administration and understanding of networks and the end devices that attach to them, such as cell phones, hotspots, laptops, and wireless cards. The candidate will monitor and report hardware, software, and network services issues and failures utilizing hardware and software testing tools and techniques for cellular network and cellular end devices.
Requirements (qualifications, education, experience)

Possess an active US Secret security clearance

Minimum of five years as a network administrator or similar capacity

Possess skills, proficiency, and experience in cellular networks including the software, hardware, and operating systems of a cellular network

Possess professional knowledge and experience including cellular network software, hardware, and operating systems of cellular network, including activation of the end devices for a closed loop network, operations, and understanding of the end devices

Possess a thorough understanding of engineering practices sufficient to replace or repair faulty equipment; channel utilization, retune, and utilization of cellular frequency technologies

Possess the technical knowledge to solve cellular network and end device problems

Must be comfortable working in austere environments
