Overview:
The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for the development, implementation, integration, and support of restaurant technology. This position works in close collaboration with senior leadership to shape technology vision, provide policy direction, ensure best practices around cybersecurity, and lead the development of technology strategies that support and advance our mission and strategic goals. This position works closely with all areas of the company and ensures the timely delivery of effective, efficient and exceptional customer service to the community. Blaze Pizza is a Franchisee centric organization, so the ability to ‘influence’ is a large portion of this role. This job will be based in the Atlanta area (Northwest) and will report to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to IT Services staff with knowledge of and sensitivity to the information technology-related objectives and the needs of its franchise business units
- Communicate the vision, goals, objectives, actions, policies, opportunities and challenges as they relate to the Blaze Pizza Mission and technology services
- Manage the technology-related operating and capital budgets
- On a day-to-day basis, this role works with other leaders within the organization to ensure stability of all IT platforms, primarily the Restaurant technology solutions
- Coordinate IT resources
- Provide guidance, develop, and build relationships with vendors
- Participate in and / or chair IT Services related committees
- Plan and develop IT policies to support strategies set by management
- Make purchases, and draft budgets for these changes
- Analyze the requirements of other departments and implement technology where it fits
- Perform industry research and advocate for additional resources to implement new technology
- Identify when technology upgrades are needed and optimize systems when possible
- Monitor equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and make or request repairs as required
- Hire and manage top quality staff
- Work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the company’s infrastructure, systems and network
- Work during evenings or weekends if issues arise with restaurant technology or computer systems
Experience, Education, and/or Certifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science OR demonstrated expertise in Restaurant technology leadership positions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Hands-On experience with Restaurant Point-of-Sale configuration & management
- Experience with configuring and implementing restaurant technologies, including Kitchen Display Systems, Tablets, Printers, Scanners, & Cash drawers
- Knowledge of and experience with Off Premises dining and technologies
- Knowledge of both Credit Card and Gift Card processing
- Experience in a Restaurant Franchise environment
- Experience with cyber-security standards & equipment that helps implement those standards.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
