Join Our Team: Corporate Event Sales Manager – Greater Phoenix Area
Wedgewood Weddings & Events is seeking an experienced Corporate Event Sales Manager to drive sales and expand our presence in the greater Phoenix area.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Define and execute an outside sales strategy targeting corporate, non-profit, and association events. Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and social media outreach.
Market Research and Client Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough market research to identify selling opportunities and understand client requirements.
Revenue Maximization: Optimize weekday event space utilization to drive revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate a positive working relationship with existing key clients to ensure repeat business. Conduct on-site consultations and site tours throughout the Phoenix area.
Proposal Creation: Create detailed and accurate proposals using Salesforce, tailored to meet client needs while adhering to company standards.
Online Reputation Management: Enhance online reputation through positive client reviews and recommendations. Promptly address and resolve any negative feedback.
Event Planning Support: Assist clients in event planning, coordinating food, beverage, room setup, décor, and other services. Ensure all requirements are communicated effectively to operations staff and executed to client specifications.
Team Collaboration: Attend and contribute to team sales meetings and Banquet Event Order (BEO) discussions. Cross-train in social sales and event planning to provide coverage and support as needed.
Performance Goals: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and related performance metrics.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience with Salesforce is preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Catering Sales Management, Corporate Sales Management, Event Planning, Hotel Convention Services Management, or Meeting Planning.

Pay Rate: $75,000-$80,000
Bonus: $2,400 quarterly

This position requires regular availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, including shifts over 8 hours and workweeks exceeding 40 hours.
