Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and organized CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Program Coordinators to oversee and manage our CNA training program in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for supporting aspiring CNAs in their career development.
Responsibilities:
Program Administration and Development:
- Assist in budget development and oversee its implementation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the CNA training program in compliance with state regulations and standards.
Instructor Management and Facilities Coordination:
- Recruit, supervise, and support qualified instructors (RN, LPN, ancillary) for effective classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
- Secure appropriate classroom and clinical facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure students are oriented to clinical facilities as per regulations.
- Maintain accurate training affidavits and submit required reports promptly to regulatory boards.
Records Management and Policy Development:
- Safeguard student and instructor records, including skills checklists and attendance.
- Develop and enforce policies for admission, dismissal, and completion of the program.
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Establish systematic evaluation processes to enhance program effectiveness.
- Secure agreements with external clinical providers for training resources.
Instructional Support and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure sufficient instructor availability for effective student supervision and support throughout the program.
Qualification:
- Hold an active unencumbered professional nursing license.
- Have at least two (2) years of nursing experience in caring for the elderly and/or the chronically ill of any age of which at least one (1) year must be in the provision of services in a long-term care facility.
- Have completed a course in teaching adults (e.g., Train the Trainer) or have documented experience in teaching adults or have one (1) year experience in managing nurse aides.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with curriculum development and program evaluation.
- Previous experience as a CNA instructor or clinical educator.
- Familiarity with healthcare workforce development initiatives and industry trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
