Position Description
The Digital Designer (full-time) at Miel Creative is responsible for designing and creating a wide variety of print and digital assets. Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Figma and other graphic design applications. This position reports to senior staff and requires the ability to produce high-quality materials while collaborating with our team to meet deadlines.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a design role, preferably at an agency (in-house designers will not be a good fit for this role)
- Degree in a design-related field or equivalent experience
- Wide variety of design skills, including identity design, UX and wireframes, and long-form reports
- Proficiency with design software and technologies, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Figma
- Advanced knowledge of InDesign, including styles and multi-page layout, is required for this position
- Wide variety of design skills including identity design, UX and wireframes, and long-form reports
- Willingness to work in a variety of types of software from Canva to WordPress to PowerPoint to InDesign
- Familiarity with tools like Asana, Slack, Dropbox, and Constant Contact, and other email marketing software
- Detail-oriented, especially at a fast pace
- Comfortable with receiving creative direction and feedback from both the clients and team members
- Self-directed problem solver who is okay comfortable with asking questions when they get stuck
- Commitment to equity and community building
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once

Your Responsibilities
Design and Production:
- Create visually appealing graphics and layouts for digital and print media, including websites, social media, brochures, advertisements, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Produce meticulous print designs such as brochures, technical reports, one-sheets, brochures, and other collateral.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual communications.
- Design compelling logos and visual identities that capture and communicate the essence of our brand and clients' brands.

- Build wWireframes and design websites based on brand guidelines and content.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual communications.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the marketing team, copywriter, and other designers to produce high-quality creative content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to campaigns and projects.
Project Management:
- Work with the project manager to manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring all work meets the required standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed for the production of printed materials and other design elements.
- Track time for each project task to bill to client.
Technical Skills:
- Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to create and edit designs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance design quality and efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of design work to ensure accuracy and quality before finalizing and distributing.
Compensation
The hiring range is $52,000 - $56,000 depending on experience.
We offer flexible schedules, generous PTO, and health insurance for all full-time employees after a 90-day probationary period. A 401(k) with a match is also available.
