The IT Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for developing quality standards to ensure compliance with, and the reliability of, Prime Health Services’ software solutions. Reporting to the Director of IT Projects, this role is accountable for initiating and performing tests, which may include re-creating Application Support Tickets on software applications to detect issues, analyze the results, and escalate findings with researched solutions to the Software Development team. The IT Quality Assurance (QA) position will gather and analyze data to ensure the accuracy and quality of software delivery.
Essential Job Functions

Reviews product design documentation to ensure requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable

Designs test plans on software applications based on business requirements and technical specifications

Reviews and analyzes documentation of systems applicable to user needs including workflows and software functionality

Assists with the build and execution of automated testing scripts

Participates in development of quality assurance policies & procedures

Assists with the creation of the definition of service levels and customer requirements

Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes

Collects and compiling data for reporting quality metrics to management
Requirements:
- a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study from an accredited college or university or
-
successful completion (certification or diploma) of a recognized Technolgy program and 2 years of direct experience preferably in the healthcare field or
-
equivalent of 3 to 5 years experience in a IT QA environment preferably in the Healthcare IT field.

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and listening are critical to understand the needs of the technical and business team members and to document processes and create reports and analysis summarizing QA results

Ability to work cross functionally with other teams in the organization including Development, Implementation, Business Owners/Stakeholders and Project Management

Demonstrated proficiency in various computer applications related to job assignment; including Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel, Power Point and Web Based applications.
