We are currently seeking a conscientious and detail-oriented Medical Collections Facilitator to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Collections Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and confidential operations of our testing facility. Your responsibilities will include managing administrative tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.
Responsibilities:
Client Interactions:
- Greet clients professionally and assist them through the testing process.
- Provide clear instructions and answer inquiries related to the testing procedures.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Accurately record client information and testing details in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Maintain organized and confidential records of all testing transactions.
Specimen Collection Assistance:
- Assist with specimen collection procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate a smooth testing process.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule appointments for drug testing and coordinate with clients to ensure timely arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff to facilitate the efficient processing of specimens.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of collected specimens.
- Report any discrepancies or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authorities.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements governing drug testing facilities.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance.
Confidentiality:
- Handle all client information and test results with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other privacy regulations.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and answering phones.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a related administrative role.
- Familiarity with drug testing procedures and protocols.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in medical office administration or related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or drug testing facility preferred.
