The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts within their territory. This role acts as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, understanding their unique needs and objectives to provide tailored solutions that drive mutual success. Through strategic planning, relationship-building, and effective communication, this role is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and service targets.
In addition to managing floral wholesale accounts in the assigned territory, this role will also represent Syndicate Sales throughout the year at the Atlanta Market, acting as a sales representative in Syndicate?s permanent showroom space during markets and regularly hosting events and customer meetings throughout the year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Understand customers' business objectives, challenges, and opportunities to identify areas where our products/services can add value.
- Develop account plans outlining strategies for growth, retention, and expansion opportunities.
- Utilize reporting tools to build out quarterly and annual sales plans for territory.
- Meet or exceed sales and profit margin targets by upselling/cross-selling products/services and identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular progress reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Represent Syndicate at the Atlanta Market during markets, engaging with new and existing customers to maximize sales.
- Develop strategy to utilize the Atlanta Market showroom space during off months, regularly hosting events and scheduling customer meetings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Customer Experience and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and support for customer needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Represent Syndicate at industry events as needed.
- Enter orders for assigned customers focusing on quick turnaround, accuracy, and upselling during order entry process.
