Job Summary
Jia Communities is seeking an Interior Design Consultant to become an integral member of our Design & Sales team. To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess both interior design expertise & client relations skills to direct clients towards design enhancements & upgrades through a consultative approach. This individual must collaborate across multiple teams during the design and execution stages. This role requires estimation skills to forecast floor-plan layout options cost, rendering capabilities to present client designs, & the ability to collaborate with both Purchasing and Construction teams to ensure design execution. This role will be involved in the design process for both residential and commercial spaces and requires a comprehensive understanding of interior design across full layouts.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Collaborate with clients to understand their interior design needs and preferences.
· Provide expert advice on design trends, space planning, and product selection.
· Render detailed design plans and specifications for client approval.
· Present design concept renderings including floor plan options, appliance & furniture layouts, and material selections to client.
· Generate increased revenue through a consultative approach by directing homeowners towards various design enhancements and upgrades.
· Estimate design option project costs to determine construction execution cost projections & budget.
· Oversee and manage the model home staging team process & selection.
· Work closely with the Purchasing Team & Construction PM’s to ensure execution of design projects.
· Collaborate with design team on both residential & commercial projects across full layouts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
· Passion! Passion! Passion! Confidence and motivation to work toward targets.
· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or similar field preferred.
· Preferable 5+ years of experience in an Interior Design capacity.
· Preferable 2+ years of experience in an Interior Design consultative sales role capacity.
· Possess an Interior Design Portfolio that aligns with the design vision of JIA Communities.
· Skilled in Revit & AutoCAD as preferred method of documentation, with additional skills in creating 3D visualizations & finish palettes.
· Ability to lead and manage a model home staging team and process.
· Strong estimating skills to determine design layout option project costs.
· Experience in both residential & commercial Interior Design is essential.
· Comfortable in an Interior Design consultative sales method.
· Ability to travel to Rogers, AR & Neosho, MO office locations.
· Strong organizational skills, deadline oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities, workflow and multiple projects simultaneously.
· Accuracy and high-level attention to detail is essential.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Use of proper grammar and spelling; strong written & verbal communication skills & math aptitude.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong computer skills and experience with Apple iOS and Microsoft Suites and rendering software.

8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday plus additional as required.
