Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Team Leader for our Chip City retail store. As the Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store and leading a team of enthusiastic counter staff to deliver high-quality service to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing schedules, guiding counter staff, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of counter staff to achieve sales goals, deliver an engaging experience, and promote loyalty programs, while maintaining quality standards.
- Handle various store administration tasks including scheduling, payroll verification, ensuring compliance with meal break regulations, and managing bank deposits.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to counter staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of resources.
- Oversee the baking process to ensure compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and quality guidelines.
- Train new counter staff on baking techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for cookies and supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with sanitation standards.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by counter staff and partner with upper management to provide coaching and support as needed.
- Uphold a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect among counter staff.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a cafe or bakery setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and coach team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency in product output.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and willingness to enforce sanitation standards.
- Food Protection Certification preferred or willingness to obtain (where required).
- Flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary or management training is a plus.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate a bakery, stockroom, and office spaces, with the capability to lift up to 30 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to work in a commercial oven's high-temperature environment.
- Ability to withstand extended periods of standing.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
