We are seeking a professional line cook to prepare food to the chef’s exact specifications. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Executive and Sous chefs with their daily tasks. A successful line cook candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest’s satisfaction and dining experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up and stocking of various cooking stations with all necessary supplies.
· Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, following various recipes.
· Answer, report and follow Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions
· Stock inventory appropriately
· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow line cooks, coworkers and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven cooking experience, as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook in a high-volume restaurant.
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
· Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
· Familiarity with food health and safety guidelines
· Ability to work night shifts.
· Reliable transportation
