Job Summary
Responsible for creating a safe work environment and a culture of greatness throughout all aspects of the manufacturing operation. Responsible for improving P&L, meeting production and budget goals, implementing process and technology improvements, increasing capacity utilization, and supporting R&D and Sales for product improvements. Working in a manufacturing environment, will plan, coordinate, and control all elements of the operation, including staffing, equipment, logistics, technical support and work methods. The Operations Manager is an advocate of Park’s culture and its values and is responsible for communicating the company’s culture and values to all employees in manufacturing.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyzes personnel and capital resources and selects the best method to meet production goals, monitors product standards, establishes and maintains standards and product improvement.
- Reviews operational performance against annual operating targets and production levels.
- Develops budget for manufacturing area and controls spending to target levels. Monitors manufacturing gross margin and drives efforts to improve.
- Drives programs to continually reduce manufacturing cycle time and maximize inventory turns.
- Leads efforts to optimize plant capabilities as needed to support our customer’s needs. • Ensures that the quality of the products is maintained with a concentration on continual improvement.
- Drives process improvements to continually reduce scrap.
- Completes root cause analysis as needed and report to necessary parties.
- Guarantees that all safety procedures, state rules and company guidelines are followed at all times.
- Implements policies and procedures.
- Establishes and executes manufacturing operations strategies.
- Ensures that equipment, materials and tools used are of the best quality and production standards are followed.
- Work with all staff members (engineers, purchasing & quality) to make quality products to exceed customers’ expectations.
- Delegates appropriate authority/responsibility and holds employees accountable for meeting performance standards.
- Ensures that duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
- Builds and mentors employees and helps them reach their targets.
Other Job Duties
- Manages production and allocation of manpower, and equipment/tooling to satisfy customer orders and inventory levels.
- Coordinates with development and sales to improve existing products and develop new materials that can be supplied on a competitive basis, and which contributes to the overall profits of the organization.

Education/Experience/Skills Required
- A Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related disciplines is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Operations Management preferable in the Aerospace or the Advance Composite industry.
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, management and progressive leadership skills.
- Proficiency in computer software application (MS Office, Oracle, etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,100.00 per year
