ERP Business Analyst Job Description
Job Description:
The position’s primary focus is to improve/streamline the business through optimizing the use of Infor XA ERP, associated systems and new technologies.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and gather business process improvement requirements arising from business problems/issues and major initiatives
· Propose and refine solutions through collaboration with end users
· Work as part of the IT Team to develop specifications and requirements for system programming changes, configuration changes or new software/hardware solutions
· Develop documentation and training materials for business process changes
· Maintain documentation library of ERP SOPs and work instructions
· Manage and lead small projects to improve business processes
· Educate new Infor XA users in basic navigation and functions
· Implement basic configuration changes through knowledge of Infor XA ERP business objects, cards, card files, views, subsets and sorts
· Provide continuing education to users on advanced XA functions, associated software functions and new functionality/processes
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration or s related field.
- 3+ years of cross department ERP use an integrated manufacturing environment
- Experience with query building using SQL, Tableau or other relational database tools
- Broad experience across multiple manufacturing ERP modules (e.g. sales, accounting, production)
- Advance Infor XA specific skill sets and knowledge to take advantage underutilized modules and technology
- Ability to collect requirements and convert into new processes
- System Link Took Kit, CL programming, RPG programming, IBM Power 9 admin and user exits a plus
- Certifications such as APICS, GSEC, CBAP, I/II, FSCM, PMP, CAPM, PMI, E1, or CPIM are a plus
- Ability to work with people in various departments and at all levels within the company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
