The Production Scheduler will schedule all production in accordance with customer orders and ensures adequate supply of raw materials to meet production demands.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares production schedules considering factors of capacity planning, labor, waste, and quality standards.
- Assigns start date/time and end date/time for production jobs and process operations.
- Expedites and adjusts work schedules to meet customer demands.
- Accurately tracks and reports status of orders to sales department.
- Prints production work orders.
- Directs daily production meetings.
- Collects data, creates, and maintains various reports concerning plant production and schedule attainment.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 3-5 years of prior scheduling experience
- Strong background in MS Word and Excel, as well as demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems: MRP/ERP systems
- SAP experience is a plus
- Metal Fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- APICS certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Detail orientated
