American Water Heater Service in Newark, CA is seeking to hire a full-time Dispatch Representative to join the team!

This Dispatch Representative position pays a competitive hourly wage. A highly desired regular work week Monday thru Friday, weekends off. We also offer medical and dental insurance, paid vacation, paid time off (PTO), and on-the-job training.

The desired Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling service calls, dispatching field technicians, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external teams. The Dispatcher will be a strong multitasker responsible for maintaining accurate records of service requests, service calls and ensuring delivery of services in a timely manner.
Job Duties:
- Maintain constant connection with field and office staff
- Coordinating and scheduling service calls, dispatching field technicians
- Maintaining accurate records of service calls and ensuring timely, efficient delivery of services
- Entering customer data
- outbound calls to customers to schedule appointments for maintenance agreements
Job Requirements:
- 1+ year(s) of experience: Phone-based customer service / Dispatch
- 2+ years of experience: Scheduling
- Preferred, but not required experience: Plumbing/Construction/HVAC industry
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, on-demand office environment
- Ability to remain calm and collected during emergency-high stress situations
- A team player with a positive attitude that is energetic and proactive, not reactive
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in computer systems and various software applications, including but not limited to Google Drive, Quickbooks, and our scheduling software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
