1. Create a classroom environment conductive to learning and appropriate to physical, social, and emotional development of students with an emphasis on language development and emergent literacy skills.
2. Perform duties planned under the direction of the director.
3. Implement the Creative Curriculum.
4. Document children's progress using Teaching Strategies Gold.
5. Interact with the children in a way that expresses respect and nurture.
6. Support the social and emotional development of children.
7. Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving skills.
8. Maintain attendance and meal counts of students in classroom.
9. Maintain a safe environment based on the safety standards set by the program.
10. Clean and close down classroom at the end of the day.
11. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.
12. Maintain an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child's family and encourage their involvement in the classroom.
13. Continue professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and other staff development.
14. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
15. Maintain constant supervision of children in care at all times.
16. Understand N.C. Child Care Requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $2,400.00 - $3,520.00 per month
