Role Overview: Join us as an Accounting Manager at Upward Management Group, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions. You'll be responsible for supervising a team of 3 other accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
- Analyze financial data and generate comprehensive reports for executive review.
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate and facilitate bank audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining financial stability and integrity.
- Utilize advanced financial software tools (e.g., QuickBooks, depreciation & rental software) to enhance reporting and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Senior Level Accountant.
- Strong proficiency in end-of-month closings and Full-Cycle accounting.
- Expertise in implementing and refining accounting policies and methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, particularly QuickBooks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proven track record in managing and maintaining general ledger accuracy.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
