OVERVIEW
In this role, the ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of welding and/or have a certification of welding. The Fabricator will be fabricating metal aluminum and welding other metal pieces together utilizing MIG practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Metal fabrication of aluminum
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment to include brake press, sheers, and more depending on the job assigned
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Weld metal pieces together utilizing MIG welding practices
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shop
- Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Prior fabrication experience
- Knowledge of welding aluminum
- Experience operating fabrication equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures
- Read and speak English
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 2 – 3 years of welding or metal fabrication experience in similar industries required
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- Welding Certification
- Others as deemed required by company to be safe for your role
