Job Title: Clinical Care Technician
The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides essential clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring high-quality patient care. The CCT assists with basic patient care activities, vital signs monitoring, and clinical procedures under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Patient Care:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist in patient positioning, transferring, and ambulation.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
- Clinical Support:
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Assist with medical examinations and minor surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
- Documentation:
- Accurately document patient care activities, vital signs, and clinical data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Relay information between patients, nurses, and physicians to ensure coordinated care.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and problem-solving.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of experience in a clinical healthcare setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or similar healthcare training program.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Skills:
- Clinical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of basic patient care activities and clinical procedures.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately monitor and record patient data.
