Purpose:
The Warehouse/Logistics Manager is a member of the site leadership team and is responsible for managing the shipping/receiving processes for raw material, finished goods, inventory processes. Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Streams, 3 party Environmental Waste company/carriers, regulatory documentation and labeling, recycle program, ensure accurate and timely processing of all returns and managing off-site warehousing third party.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Management experience in manufacturing or logistics
- Union experience preferred
- Hazardous Material experience preferred
- Effective leadership, interpersonal skills, performance management, and people development skills required
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with clear prioritization and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with all levels of the organization (employees, managers, customers)
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP), etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Participate in site leadership meetings and expectations
- Support operations to create a culture of functional excellence, accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and standards
- Manage and direct work of team leaders and their teams
- Plan, lead, organize and control the delivery of the operations contribution to site objectives and overall performance in terms of HSE&S, service and quality, costs and personnel
- Follow all standard operating processes, looking for and responding effectively to hazards in safety, health, security and environment, taking account of people, plant, community and procedures
- Develop individual team members and build a team which collectively is capable of and fully involved in achieving the task. Enforce personal performance standards within team
- Ensure all safety rules/procedures are being observed and followed by team members
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of warehouse, including: freight, returns, receiving, parcels, transfers, prekit and inventory management.
- Lead and develop warehouse team to deliver unparalleled customer service and on time delivery
- Manage daily plan to exceed expectations for productivity and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
