For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.
We are searching for a Part-Time Overnight Direct Support Professional to work in our apartment program located in Shadyside, PA.
Schedule: Friday and Saturday 10p-8a

Responsibilities:
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:

Provides minimum to maximum assistance with all areas of activities of daily living (ADL's).
- Promote our clients’ success in daily living tasks, recreational activities, vocational pursuits, medication management, and physical and cognitive activities.

Accompanying clients to appointments, in the community and and other outings as assigned

Candidates must be comfortable working with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients
Qualifications:
Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

A minimum of a HS Diploma/GED required (associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained

Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation

Time management skills
-
The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers

The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills
***Diplomas from non-U.S. educational institutions must include professional documentation/evaluation that the non-U.S. educational program is equivalent to or exceeds U.S. educational requirements; documentation is required prior to becoming an employee
