Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Perform airway management and provide support to patients in need
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, blood gases, and other diagnostic test results
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory disorders.
- Develop and implement effective respiratory care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and proper treatment techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
Qualifications:

- Willingness to learn in a new environment, work collaboratively with a team and be able to both communicate well and work independently.
- Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of CA.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment
- Proficiency in performing airway management procedures
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology related to the respiratory system
- Ability to interpret medical terminology, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests relevant to respiratory care
- Skilled in administering medications via various routes including inhalation therapy
- Experience working in an ICU or critical care environment is highly desirable but not necessary.
