We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and visits. Increase sales by setting up appointments with existing customers in assigned territory by zip code while also cold calling and prospecting for new business
- Promote Industrial Equipment Company’s manufacturing product lines by identifying opportunities, negotiate, and manage territory in order to be a sole-source provider
- Develop relationships with our Manufacturers and make joint sales calls in the field with Factory Sales Representatives within your territory to help close sales
- Enjoy working independently in your territory and also as a team to be successful
- Follow up on all leads provided by our Manufacturers and work closely with our Inside Sales Team on quotes
- Update and maintain adequate customer contact information and sales activities in CRM regularly
- Attend local (ISA) Instrumentation Society of Automation and other Trade Shows annually in order to promote Industrial Equipment Company’s products and services
- Ability to be a road warrior out in the field to build relationships with customers and attend formal training programs on-site and/ or virtual online when offered by our Manufacturing Partners
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree in Distribution, Business, or related study preferred; will consider other equivalents
- Minimum 2-3 years B2B technical industrial outside sales experience and a background in instrumentation, electrical, and/ or combustion controls is desirable
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exemplary presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional acumen and high integrity with customers and co-workers
- Personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license and insurance
- Strong computer skills

- Base salary plus commissions earned on gross profit sales on paid invoices
