What's the role?
As a Junior ServiceNow developer, we will be developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform including custom applications, integrations, and workflows. Responsibilities will include configuring ServiceNow modules, creating and maintaining new and existing code within the platform, and developing and customizing applications, business rules, and client scripts. This position will require problem-solving skills, an understanding of ITSM principles, ability to learn and adapt to NM's ServiceNow environment, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Understands and supports Cloud-based applications
- Applies engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
- Leverages established coding standards, best practices, and automation capabilities to develop solutions to support our users
- Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Related school coursework
- Understanding of JavaScript programming
- Understanding of using Git to manage source code
- Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CI
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity how public cloud services work and how different cloud services work together
- Familiarity with Docker and how containers work and can be used
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and other container orchestration systems
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and how networking works in the cloud
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
