Overview: SpendMend® works exclusively with hospitals, healthcare systems, and higher education organizations. We offer a unique suite of recovery audit, telecommunications, and consulting services. The core function of the Data Analyst to analyze data to identify insights and trends and provide clients or management with valuable information that they can use to improve operational and business practices. Their main duties include identifying, gathering, and analyzing data, and making their insights accessible through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables, and reports. Essential keys to success are the management of relationships internal and external to the enterprise, flawless project management, and a passion for delivering excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure data to support core reporting deliverables.
- Prepare standard and custom reports and share these with operational team members.
- Gathering requirements from audit staff and ensure flawless implementation and delivery.
- Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
- Using tools to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.

- SQL knowledge is required
- Business Intelligence software knowledge is required
- Familiarity/Background in Healthcare Operations and also financial terminology
- Strong background in data exploration and programming
Education or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Microsoft PowerBI as well as experience with SQL preferred. Experience in a business financial setting, Healthcare or otherwise, preferred.
