We are seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our drug and alcohol program. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills as well as a high level of attention to detail while also being extremely compassionate, hard working and creative. The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide individual, group education to clients suffering from various ailments in a social service office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual counseling to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update them as necessary.
- Manage a budget for the organization.
- Track patient progress and make referrals as needed.
- Develop and implement prevention programs.
- Educate patients about the disease of addiction and recovery.
- Manage patients' care according to the organization's guidelines.
- Communicate with other medical professionals regarding patients' treatment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
